Why we exist
The numbers don't add up. Women make up half the population, but still hold a fraction of the boardroom seats, leadership positions, and even less when it comes to founders and funding. That's a structural problem, not a pipeline one.
After 15+ years in tech and various leadership roles, I've seen it from the inside. Brilliant women being overlooked, underestimated, or asked to wait their turn. The never-ending promises of change, while the same dialogue keeps happening in every room.
She Grows exists because we got tired of sitting on the sideline, watching and waiting for systems to fix themselves. So we decided to build something different.
We believe change happens when women come together, support each other without competition, and actively create the opportunities that aren't being handed to them. We don't believe in tearing down, we believe in creating new possibilities. More women leading. More women founding. More women in the rooms where decisions are made.
And allies who understand that a more equal business landscape isn't a women's issue. It's everyone's issue. We join forces with allies who believe it's time to stop talking and start building. Together.
I started She Grows because I wanted to be surrounded by women who are smarter and better than me, women who challenge my mind and intellect, but without the competition. More of a support system. For me, that's when I grow the most. And I figured, if that's what I needed, I probably wasn't the only one.
I tried several networks, but kept feeling that something was missing. More could be accomplished if we actually helped each other level up, through joint ventures, shared experiences, real connection.
So She Grows became that. Created by women, for women. A community where the first question from another member is "How can I support you?" not a quiet calculation of who's ahead.
Our values are our playbook. They're how we interact, what we expect from each other, and the filter for who belongs here. Those who want to be part of She Grows align with them, because they're our guiding star.
